Facilities

At Littlefair we provide a safe environment in a purpose built and superbly equipped building. There are level walks throughout and by using one of the two passenger lifts access to the entire building and gardens can be made by wheelchair or walking frame.

We have 24 en-suite bedrooms and 17 single rooms without en-suite all decorated and furnished to a high standard laid out on three floors. Smaller rooms all have easy access to W.C. facilities. All our rooms are equipped with standard divan type beds. Special beds including adjustable beds and pressure relieving mattresses are available.

There are two separate living rooms and a spacious dining room laid out around a quadrangle garden which provides a very pleasant outlook.Other facilities include easy access baths including a spa bath, a wet room with assisted shower and two passenger lifts.

In addition there is a well maintained and planted garden for strolling or for sitting outside.

Warmth is important to elderly people. Our heating system is computer controlled and automatically adjusts to the outside air temperature. It is never too hot nor too cold.

Air flow is maintained throughout the building by the use of automatic fire doors and controlled ventilation. Stale smells are virtually eliminated and the home looks and smells clean.

Even the lighting levels are computer-controlled ensuring that the living and access areas are suitably lit dependent on the time of day and the required ambience.

We provide and launder all bed linen, towels and flannels. This is included in the basic accommodation charge.

Every room in Littlefair is fitted with a call system point. This is connected to pagers which are carried by members of the care team.

Each room has a television and a telephone point. There is a small charge for telephone connection and calls. Residents may bring in their own TV or the Home can provide one for a nominal rent.
