Littlefair's Jolly to Eastbourne

After lots of planning we finally made it to Eastbourne! In the morning we bundled nine of our Residents into the coach and set off for the coast singing #We're all going on a summer holiday...#. The weather was wonderful, despite hearing it was raining in East Grinstead. We went straight to the fish and chip shop for our lunch and then made our way outside for a stroll along the promenade and pier. There's nothing like looking at the sea and feeling the fresh sea air on your face and of course we couldn't leave the seaside without having a 99. The clouds finally broke when we were heading back home, so the staff got a bit soggy trying to keep the Residents dry coming back into the building. But all in all, we were grateful for good weather, good food, good views and great company.

We would like to thank The Rotary Club for their generous donation that paid for our transport and to Littlefair for paying for the fish and chips and ice creams.
