25th Anniversary Fete
On Saturday 23rd September we celebrated a very big occasion here at Littlefair – 25 years of care!
To mark the event we held a traditional fete with stalls including: hook a duck, tin can alley, a coconut shy, the stocks, pick ‘n’ mix, tombola, guess the name of the bear (which turned out the be Theodore), a BBQ and bar. On top of that we also asked local businesses to support us by donating prizes for our raffle, which they did in droves! We were very grateful to them all. The money raised on the day has taken us one step closer to buying our own minibus. Please read below to see a list of the generous businesses that supported us.
Homeowner Lily Kennedy, who opened the home with her late husband, Robin in 1992 attended the event with her sons and their families, including our Administrator Nick Sherard.
Attendance was well over 100 people made up of Residents’ families as well as our staff and their families, so there a was a great atmosphere and buzz about the place.
Conor Dickson, one of our kitchen assistants was a great sport and volunteered to be in the stocks, getting wet sponges thrown at him. A lot of our other staff members got involved and manned the other stalls.
It was a real family event, which reflects the home’s independent, family run nature. We had a great time!
